Twenty miles linking Brayton with Kirtlebridge.

Opened fully for passengers in 1870. Worked by the Caledonian Railway who eventually bought the Scottish section in 1873. [1]

1868 Engineer is James Brunlees.[2]

1889 Engineer is Sir James Brunlees and McKerrow.[3]

1895 As from July 6th, the undertaking of this company has been passed to the Caledonian Railway. [4]

1923 Became part of London, Midland and Scottish Railway. [5]
