SOLOMON COOK, SHIP SURVEYOR, BUILDER, and DRAUGHTSMAN, begs to acquaint Merchants, Shipbuilders, Shipowners, Steam-packet Companies, and others, that he has completed his engagements at Hamburgh, in constructing and building THREE STEAM SHIPS for the HANSEATIC STEAM COMPANY, which vessels are now trading between Hamburg and Hull. The engines were made by Messrs. Fawcett, Preston and Co., of Liverpool, and have proved of first rate quality, and the vessels in every respect equal to any afloat. Mr. Cook is now desirous of being employed in either building or repairing ships or steam-vessels, having had much experience in both England and abroad, as the undermentioned testimonials will show. Apply No 11, Bermuda-street, Jamaica-street, Commercial-road, East, where the originals of the testimonials can be seen, if required.' There followed a series of testimonials from individuals, with their addresses. The names are given below:-
