of Hatfield Road, St. Albans (1963)

c.1939 The Slip Products company began to develop specialized lubrication techniques.

By 1959 the company exported a wide range of industrial and other products to 5 countries. Slip Products and Engineering Co., Ltd., 34 Gt. St. Helen's, London, E.C.2, announced their newest product a lubricating-oil supplement, based on molybdenum disulphide, which they named Molyslip.

"the basic material, which has become well known in the field of lubrication, is not a synthetic material, but is extracted from the mineral, molybdenite, found chiefly in Colorado, and for lubrication its purity must not be less than 98.5 per cent. It is claimed that Molyslip embodies 20 per cent, of this material in colloidal form. It will be marketed in two forms, the ordinary for supplementing engine oil, and Molyslip G for the transmission and steering box."[1]

1965 "... Lloyd's Industries (Molyslip) will market the Molyslip range in Britain, Baron Beck told me to-day that the deal does not involve any other Slip Group interests, or the sale of Molyslip products overseas..." [2]

1965 Sales headquarters for the UK industrial and marine division of Slip Products Co. Ltd. moved to Hatfield Road, St. Albans, Hertfordshire. Technical servicing continues from Forge Lane, Halesowen, Staffordshire.[3]
