Skefko Ball Bearing Company of Luton known as SKF.
1910 Private company incorporated, a subsidiary of AB Svenska Kullagerfabriken.
1911 Factory opened in Luton
1920 September. Exhibited at the Machine Tool and Engineering Exhibition at Olympia with ball bearings.[1]
1926 John C. Hafner resigned as works manager of the company.[2]
1936 Company made public.
1937 Ball and roller bearing manufacturers. "SKF" Ball and Roller Bearings.[3]

1954 Skefko Ball Bearing Co., Ltd., The Ball, cylindrical roller, taper roller and spherical roller bearings, steel balls and rollers, aircraft control pulleys, rubber tyred ball bearing rollers, and power transmission equipment. 1961 The only British manufacturers of all four basic types of bearings, namely: ball, cylindrical roller, taper roller and spherical roller.[5]
1969 SKF invested in modernising its 2 factories in the UK[6]
