SIMON LOUIS FRANCOIS JAMBILLE died at Maubeuge on January 14, 1895, at the age of 54.

He was director-general of the Maubeuge Ironworks Company, president of the Comite des Forges du Nord, and vice-president of the Comitd des Forges of France. He was also director of several other important industrial undertakings.

He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1885.
