Originally Silver and Deming Manufacturing Co. Split in 1890 to form the Silver Manufacturing Company, under A. R. Silver, and the Deming Co (specialising in pumps and hydraulics). In 1954 Silver re-merged with Deming. The business was later acquired by the Crane Co.[1]
