Serjeant Hornblower (1777-1819) Ironmaster of Brierley Hill Ironworks

1798 November 26th. Married in Old Swinford to Ann Bate and the had children Thomas, Sophia, John and Sargent Henry Hornblower (b.1817).

1816 Partnership change. '...the Partnership lately subsisting and carried on by Serjeant Hornblower, William Hornblower, and Abel Josiah Smith, at Brierly-Hill, in the Parish of Kingswinford, in the County of Stafford, as Iron and Steel Manufacturers, was dissolved by mutual consent on the 24th day of June last, from which time the said trades have been and will in future be carried on by the said Serjeant and William Hornblower...'[1]
