Scottish Malt Distillers

1914 Scottish Malt Distillers Limited was established by the amalgamation of five Lowland malt whisky distillers: The Clydesdale Distillery Company Limited, Wishaw; A. and J. Dawson Limited, Linlithgow; Glenkinchie Distillery, The Rosebank Distillery Limited, Falkirk and William Young and Co Limited, Burntisland. The company was registered with capital of £300,000.[1]

1925 Acquired by Distillers Co in a move to tackle over production of malt whisky[2]
