1878 Agents to the STEEL COMPANY SCOTLAND (LIMITED). Manufacturers of Steel Rails, Steel Shin and Boiler Plaice, Steel Ears and Axles, Forgings, Castings, and Patent Machine-Moulded Spur Wheels and Pinions.[1]

1883 Scott Brothers took delivery of the Linares, the 4th steamer built for them by Palmers. Mr Fife Scott was one of the managing partners[2]

1895 W. H. Scott, Jun. left the partnership with W. H. Scott, F. J. Scott and J. M. Scott of Scott Brothers of Newcastle upon Tyne and Cardiff, commission agents, ship and insurance brokers, and general merchants[3]
