1960 the Rheostatic Co was acquired by Elliott Automation[1]
1960 Fritz Ludwig Felix Steghart of St Albans and Trevor Exelby Oliver of Windsor patented "Motor controlled regulating system" which was assigned to the company.
1962 New factories established at East Kilbride and further capacity being constructed at Maryport.
1963 the Rheostatic Company was renamed Satchwell Controls in honour of its founder and long-time leader Leonard Satchwell; 2 divisions - one at East Kilbride, the other at Slough.
1967 the company was part of Elliott Automation, which was itself absorbed by the English Electric Company and so became part of the General Electric Company (GEC), the largest electrical manufacturer in Britain.
1967 Satchwell Appliance Controls Ltd. was at Glenburn Road, College Milton, East Kilbride
At some point became Satchwell Control Systems
1997 GEC sold Satchwell Controls to Siebe[2]
