1878 The company was registered on 6 February , and is engaged in the manufacture and sale of the "Sanitas" disinfectants. [1]

1898 The company was re-registered under the old title.

1961 Sanitas Trust acquired Rimmel London[2]

1968 London Merchant Securities planned to acquire Sanitas Trust, the timing dependent on Rimmel's progress in getting its shares quoted[3] which happened a few months later in the form of a rights issue[4]
