Rebesch, Hon’ble Samuel, M.Inst.C.E., Executive Engineer, (retired), Bombay; one of the oldest Officers of the P.W.D.; educ: King’s College, London, and Cooper’s Hill; joined service as Assistant Superintendent, 1875; Executive Engineer (Irrigation Branch) in charge of Sholapur, Napjar, Poona and several other places; constructed the Kandahar Railway from Jocabad to Sibi, 1880; Executive Engineer, 1893; Under-Secretary to Government (P.W.D), 1896-97; Superintending Engineer, Poona, and then of Sind; in charge of the Northern Division with head-quarters at Bombay, 1890; Chairman.
