1854 Married Rachel Mapp in Chaddesley Corbett, Worcester.[2]

1854 Partner in Lowe, Saloway, and Yates, Carpet Manufacturers of Bridgnorth, with Edward Lowe and Benjamin Saloway. In this year Lowe left the partnership; Yates and Saloway continued the business[3].

1861 Saml. Pruda Yates 36, manager to carpet factory, lived in Bishopstone, Wilton, with Rachel Yates 30, Amy Yates 3, Purdoe Yates 2[4]

1871 Living at the Carpet Factory, Fugglestone St. Peter, Wilts.: Samuel Pardoe Yates (age 46 born Kidderminster), Manager of Carpet Factory. With his wife Rachel, 40, Pardoe Yates 12, and 3 daughters - Ann 14, Laura 8, Eva 3 and niece Emily 10[5]

1874 Died in Wilton. Samuel Pardoe Yates, the Royal Wilton Carpet Factory.[6]
