Established in 1794 by Samuel Bagster, who was succeeded by his sons, and afterwards by his grandsons, one of whom is now the head. Incorporated as a Limited Company in 1883. Directors: Robert Bagster (Chairman and Managing Director), Robert W. Hanson. Are the originators of the present form of Pocket Reference Bible, first issued by Samuel Bagster in 1812, with centre reference, and inventors of the present Yapp Divinity Circuit Binding. Agencies: New York, Melbourne. Specialities: Bibles, and all Helps to the Study of the Bible in the original Languages. Also Church Services, Prayer Books, and Devotional Books. This old-established firm have long been noted for Biblical Publications.
