Also known as the Salford Quays Millennium footbridge or the Lowry bridge. Completed in 2000.
The main span is a steel bowstring arch, 96 m long (91.2 m between bearings)
Main contractors Christiani and Neilsen.
Steelwork fabricated by Fairport Steelwork and Lengthline Ltd. Main designer Mouchel Parkman, but the superstructure was designed by the Spanish firm of Carlos Fernandez Casado. Mechanical and electrical systems designed by Bennett Associates. [1]
