1850 Austin and Mills were listed as Shipbuilders of Low Southwick [1]

The yard launched several ships, including the Judith Allan for John Allan of London, under the supervision of George and John Mills.

1861 Dissolution of the Partnership between Samuel Peter Austin, George Mills, and John Mills, carrying on trade as Ship Builders, at Southwick, in the county of Durham, under the style of S. Austin and Mills[2]
