Edward Thomas started an engineering business in Prague

1850 became Ruston and Evans, involving Joseph John Ruston. For more information, see Wikipedia entry.

1854 The company became Ruston and Co. with the entry of Ruston's brother John Joseph Ruston.

1866 Produced the elaborate iron towers and other ironwork for the new suspension bridge in Prague, designed by Ordish and Le Feuvre.[1]

1869 became Prager Maschinenbau AG.
