Rubber Tyre Manufacturing Co

Harvey Du Cros (who had helped to form the Pneumatic Tyre and Booths Cycle Agency Ltd with John Boyd Dunlop) also provided finance to Byrne Bros, a Birmingham business engaged in the production of general rubber goods.

1896 Byrne Bros underwent flotation on the stock market as the Rubber Tyre Manufacturing Co based at Para Mill with the intention of building a new factory, Manor Mills, alongside it.

1896 Prospectus issued. [1] Company to take over the Byrne Brothers India Rubber Co. Directors are:

1900 Harvey Du Cros purchased the Manor Mills.

1901 The Rubber Tyre Manufacturing Company Limited was purchased by the Dunlop Pneumatic Tyre Co [2]; the two companies were later amalgamated to form the Dunlop Rubber Co Limited[3]
