1932 The Royal Mail Lines Ltd was created to take over the ships of Royal Mail Steam Packet Co and some other companies of the collapsed Kylsant group.

1965 Royal Mail Lines was acquired by Furness, Withy and Co

1970s Sold to Hong Kong shipowner C. Y. Tung

Later sold to its former rival Hamburg Süd.
