The third machine in the initial research series. Experimental two-seater biplane. Powered firstly by a 60 hp Wolseley and later by a 60 hp Renault engine.
First flight was 4th December 1911 piloted by Geoffrey de Havilland.
On 11th March 1912 the plane was handed over to C. J. Burke of the Air Battalion where it was listed as B7 but later changed to 201.
Crashed in January 1915.
In July 1916 it was at the Central Flying School, Upavon.
