1865 Incorporated

This 12.5 mile line ran along the Wye Valley and opened in 1873. It closed in 1959 and parts are now used for the Wye Valley walk. [1]

1868 Engineers are Charles Liddell and Edward Richards. [2]

1908 The railway (12.5 miles in length) is worked by the Great Western Railway. [3]

1923 Became part of the Great Western Railway. [4]
