RONALD HENRY JOHNSTONE, born at Coatbridge in 1849, died at Harrow-on-the-Hill on the 29th January, 1912.
He was apprenticed to his father, the late Mr. Ronald Johnstone, and after he had gained practical experience, became a partner in his father‘s firm. In that capacity he had charge of the laying out and construction of the Glasgow Tramways, supervised many important mining estates in Scotland, and reported on mines on the Continent and in Australia.
He was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 4th December, 1900.
