1969 Company incorporated as a result of changing the name of James Robertson and Sons Preserve Manufacturers Ltd.

Decided to diversify into catering brands as the retail market had limited growth prospects; Viota had already started offering cakes; Robertsons has introduced canned potatoes 2 years previously[1]

1970 Other subsidiaries were Viota Foods Ltd and Quantock Preserving Co Ltd. The Catford factory had been closed[2]

1978 Acquired Unican Foods.[3]

1980 Sold Quantock Preserving Co and the drinks division of James Robertson

1981 Acquired by Avana Group

1993 As a result of internal reorganisation of RHM, Robertson Foods PLC became Robertson Foods Ltd
