ROBERT JOHN DUDLEY MacALLISTER, born on the 31st August, 1862, died in Uganda on the 10th April, 1909.

Having served a pupilage to the late Mr. J. A. C. Hay, and gained subsequent experience on railway construction in this country, he went out in 1890 to Uganda, where he remained until his death, being first Executive Engineer to the British East Africa Company, and latterly first Assistant to H.M. Commissioner, and Vice-Consul.

He was elected an Associate Member on the 3rd May, 1892.
