Richards and Blake

From Graces Guide

of Taunton

1841 Partnership of Thomas Richards and J. D. Blake, Taunton, engineers and iron founders, dissolved by mutual consent, 25th March[1]

Evidently Thomas Richards continued in the foundry business, being listed as an ironfounder, engineer, and sawmill proprietor at St. James' Street, Taunton, in 1842. This was presumably St. James's Foundry (Taunton)

One of the partners, James Dore Blake, had a colourful career, embracing the professions of pastry chef and medical practitioner in addition to a brief interlude as an ironfounder.
