1847 at the baptism of his son Edward, he was manager of glass works in London.

1852 With William Henry Kerr, he took over the management of the Chamberlain porcelain works in Severn Street, Worcester.

1881 Director Royal Porcelain Works, lived in Severn Street, Worcester, with Elizabeth F. Binns 54, Edward W. Binns 34, Charles F. Binns 23, William M. Binns 19, Albert Binns 17, his Daughter in Law Ann K. Binns 30, and Grandson William A.D. Binns.[1]

1891 Porcelain manufacturer, employer, lived in Diglis House, Worcester with his family[2]

1897 Richard Binns retired.

1900 Died in Worcester.
