1875-6 Studied Civil Engineering at King's College, London

Articled to J. M. Dobson M Inst C E

1878 Worked for Wilkinson and Jarvis of Westminster on construction of the Eastern and Midlands Railway in Norfolk

1882 Surveyed for a railway in Scotland and then worked on lines in Norway and Sweden

1883 Associate Member of Inst Civil Engineers, of West Hill, Sydenham[1]

Went to work in his father's business John Waddington (of London)

1891 Richard Waddington 32, civil engineer, employee, lived in Norwood with Eleanor A Waddington 32, Cecil C Waddington 6 Months[2]

1901 Richd Waddington 42, engineer, was visiting Hastings with Eleanor A Waddington 42[3]
