1911 Born

1939 Royal Air Force J A G S Office, Clerk General Duties, lived in Kensington[1]

WWII Served in Intelligence in Turkey and in the Engineers in Normandy

Post-WWII Seconded to the Ruhr Economic Planning Sub-committee where he devised and supervised development of a simple stove.

1947 MD of Birwelco

By 1957 was General Manager of Birwelco and Brown Fintube (Great Britain); director of Petrochem GmbH and of Servotomic[2]

1957 Birwelco was acquired by GKN

1957 Appointed director and general manager of Birwelco and Brown Fintube (Great Britain)

1963 Introduced the Servowarm central heating system through the subsidiary Servotomic.

1966 Joint managing director of Guest, Keen and Nettlefolds Building Supplies and Services Ltd.. He was elected President of the British Mechanical Engineering Federation for the year 1966/67 at the B.M.E.F. Council Meeting held on October 13, 1966.[3]

1968 Joined the GKN Board

Subsequently ran the GKN Contracting subsidiary, supplying complete plants, railways, airports to overseas companies and governments.
