Repton Engineering Works

1886 The works was opened by W. J. Stephenson-Peach.

1904 August. Details and image of the 3-wheeler - 4hp.[1]. This was a single seater car, unusually for the time it was fitted with front wheel brakes.

1914 the works was advertising that their specialities included motor lawn mowers, light four wheel runabouts, motor bicycles, gas, steam and oil engines and the manufacture and repair of bicycles6. Nearby Repton School made use of contacts with the Repton Engineering works to teach engineering to its boys. Later on boys from other schools in the UK attended the engineering classes at Repton Engineering.
