1911 Chief Assistant Engineer, Folkestone Electricity Supply Co Ltd; living in Folkestone with his wife Gladys; no children[1]

1912 Superintendent in the Power Station Construction Dept. of Yorkshire Electric Power Co. Responsible for the design, construction and testing of all the equipment at Barugh Power Station, for extensions to Thornhill Power Station, and for first designs, specifications and estimates for a new power station at Ferrybridge[2]

1919 Construction of Barugh Power Station for utilization of Coke Oven Gas under Boilers.

By 1922 Consulting Engineer, partner in Thorp and Atkinson, of Leeds.

By 1939 was with Marconi's Wireless Telegraph Co. Ltd., Electra House, Victoria Embankment, W.C.2.
