1909 Electricity works erected by Rawtenstall Corporation at a cost of over £22,000[1]
1916 A transmission line was installed to Accrington, so that both stations could supply Haslingden.
1920 William Dockray and Son, the first building in Rawtenstall lighted by gas, is being demolished for extensions at the Rawtenstall electricity works.[2]
