Randolph Edward Docwra (1891-1976)

1891 Born in Southgate, son of Colin Docwra, contractor for gas and water works, and his wife Mary Louisa.

1908-11 Practical training with John Taylor and Sons M Inst C E and continued with the firm for a further year.

1910 Student member of Inst Civil Engineers

1912-15 Assistant with Thomas Docwra and Son

1915 2nd Lieut, Royal Engineers, in charge of construction of H.M. Factory, Gretna, became an Associate Member of Inst Civil Engineers.

1919 Married Janet M Harman in London[1]

1947 Set up R. E. Docwra as a public works contractor

1976 Died in Chichester[2]
