Racal Security

1982 Racal Security doubled exports over a three-year period, largely through its infrared and microwave intruder detection sensors.[1]

1984 Racal acquired Chubb which owned a number of other lock companies.

1991 Plans announced to demerge by giving shares in the company to Racal shareholders. The company included Chubb, Union, Lips and Pyrene[2]

1992 Chubb was demerged as Chubb Security
