1874 Dissolution of the Partnership between Elizabeth Paul, William Francis Paul (of Norwich), James Samuel Cocksedge, and Albert Cowell Ridley, as Maltsters, Merchants, and Ship Owners, in Ipswich, in the county of Suffolk, under the firm of Robert Paul and Company; all debts due and owing to or by the late firm will be received and paid by Messrs. Robert Stocker Paul and William Francis Paul (of Ipswich), by whom in future the business will be carried on.[2]

Thus this became the business of brothers Robert Stocker Paul (1844-1909), merchant and maltster, and William Francis Paul (1850-1928), corn merchant

1893 R. and W. Paul Ltd was incorporated

1913 Works at Ipswich were visited by a party from the I Mech E

1961 user of Variable Configuration Trailers.

1963 Merged with White, Tomkins and Courage to form Pauls and Whites Foods.[3]

1981 Name changed to Pauls Agriculture Ltd

By 1985 was a subsidiary of Harrisons and Crosfield plc[4]
