Richard Harington Martin (1881-1963) M.I.E.E., M.Inst.C.E.

c.1882 Born at Wood Norton, Norfolk, the son of Charles Martin, Clergyman, and his wife Dora Frances.

Career: Marlborough Coll.; City and Guilds Eng. Coll.;

Asst. Engr., Pauling and Co., Contractors.

Joined the staff of South Indian Rly. Co. as Asst. Engr. Filled the posts of Resident, District, Deputy Chief and Chief Engr., also of Bridge Engr., Signal Engr., and Deputy Agent.

By 1939 he had retired as Chief Engineer, South Indian Railway.
