1946 The Production Engineering Research Association was formed to support British manufacturing industry;

1960s For the UK Government, PERA delivered the British Technology Advice Service

1970s Provided the Production Engineering Advisory Service.

1974 Developed a vibration-dampening mat to reduce noise caused by sheet metalworking operations.[1]

1980s Provided the National Manufacturing Advisory Service

1990s Enterprise Initiative for Manufacturing and Quality.

Currently services are provided by Pera Consulting, Pera Technology and Pera Training.[2]
