c.1841 Born in Keighley, son of Prince Smith, Senior, of Prince Smith and Son

1872 Patent to William Firth, of Bradford, in the county of York, Worsted Spinner, and Prince Smith the younger, of Keighley, in the county aforesaid, Machine Maker, for an invention of "improvements in machinery for spinning and doubling worsted, silk, cotton, and other fibre."[1]

1881 Prince Smith, junior, 40, machine maker, lived in Keighley with Martha A. Smith 39, Martha Smith 9[2]

1891 Prince Smith 50, worsted machine maker, employer, lived in Keighley with Martha A Smith 49, Prince Smith 21, worsted machine maker, employee[3]

1901 Worsted machinery maker and magistrate, lived in Keighley[4]
