Portsmouth Waterworks

1857 The Borough of Portsmouth Waterworks Company, was formed and bought up the Portsmouth and Farlington Waterworks Co and to construct new works to supply water form springs at Havant six miles north east of Portsmouth.

1938 The engineer is D. Halton Thomson.[1]

1989 Portsmouth Water PLC was established as one of the privatised water-only supply companies
