1821 Designed by John Brown for Joseph Sparkes, a Quaker banker. The pleasure grounds were laid out at the same time.

1842 No. 4 for sale the home of George Louis.[1]

1884 Nos. 1, 4 and 5 offered for sale. 'All the other house on the estate have recently been sold to residential purchasers and the owner is desirous of selling the remainder before leaving England'.[2]
