Pegler and Louden
of Glasgow.
1899 Company founded - Pegler Brothers and Co, initially as engineers' merchants in Glasgow.
1900 A manufacturing operation was started in Doncaster, mainly to supply products to the marine industry through the Glasgow agency.
1914 Private company. Pegler Brothers became a limited company.
c.1930 John Louden became managing director of Pegler Brothers
1931 Name changed. In order to distinguish between the Glasgow and Doncaster businesses, the Glasgow company was renamed Pegler and Louden.
1938 After the death of Frank Pegler, John Louden became chairman of the company.
1957 Louden died
1959 Peglers took over this wholly-owned subsidiary
1961 Brassfounders and engineers' supplies; specialists in industrial valves, cocks and pipe-line fittings for all industries.[1]
1969 was part of Pegler-Hattersley[2]
2003 Acquired by BSS Group
