PS Yarmouth Belle

Built 1898. Owned by Belle Steamers Dimensions:— Length 240 ft. by 28.1 by 9.3. Gross tons 522. Triple expansion engines, cylinders 20.5 in., 30 in., 43 in. by 60 in. N.H.P. 143. Speed 17 knots. One boiler.

In 1921 sold to the P.S.M. Syndicate, but in 1923 the R.S.S. Co. were registered as the owners and in 1926 the East Anglia Steamship Co.

In 1928 was acquired by the New Medway Steam Packet Co. and then was renamed QUEEN OF SOUTHEND

1938 renamed THAMES QUEEN. After the 1935 season considerable alterations were made, the original open fore-deck being built up, thus enabling the promenade deck to be extended to the bows.
