1844 Built at Blackwall. 82 tons. 32 N.H.P.
On 7th March, 1863, at the height of the excitement caused by the entrance of Princess Alexandra into London, the SIBYL was completely wrecked at London Bridge. In passing the bridge, she struck something and immediately began to fill. The passengers, between 200 and 300 in number, were got off in safety, and shortly afterwards she sank and became a total wreck.
