The QUEEN ELIZABETH was a steel built paddler constructed in 1895 by Edwards and Co., Millwall, for a Mr. Edgar Shand. She was of 141 gross register tons and the dimensions were: Length 159.3 by 15.5 by 6.5. She had a two-cylinder compound engine built by Wilson and Co., London.
The QUEEN ELIZABETH ran between London Bridge, Kew, Richmond and Hampton Court. Her full Compliment was no less than 709 passengers. In March, 1896, she was chartered to take the guests of the Thames Iron Works to witness the launch of the Japanese battleship FUJI. About 1897 she was transferred to the Queens of the River Steamship Co. of London. In 1913 she was acquired by Mr. J. T. Mears, Richmond, for his river Thames trips. At the close of the first World War QUEEN ELIZABETH was scrapped.
