1889 THE SHAH, KAISER and H. M. STANLEY - these three were built at Poplar. The first two for the London Steamboat Co and the last constructed for the River Thames Steamboat Co. The funnels of this company were painted white with two red bands at the top. THE SHAH was renamed PENELOPE in 1899 and continued in service until 1910. H. M. STANLEY was renamed PORTIA in 1899, and with KAISER was withdrawn in 1909.
