PS Edith

In 1870, Messrs. Leslie built another paddle steamer named EDITH, a vessel 250.6 feet long, 30.1 feet beam and 14.4 feet deep; her tonnage was 891 gross and 442 net. She had 300 n.h.p. oscillating engines by Stephenson, cylinders 63 in. by 72 in. stroke, and a boiler pressure of 20 lb.
In 1885, the EDITH was converted to twin screw propulsion and worked in the cargo and cattle trade until March, 1912, when she was withdrawn.
