PS Eclair
1865 Built by Kirkpatrick, McIntyre and Co, at Port Glasgow for Dartmouth Steam Packet Co Ltd, Dartmouth, as a sea-going steamer. She was 237 tons, with 120 N.H.P. engines built by W. Simons and Co., Renfrew. There were two diagonal cylinders 40 in. by 42 in. She was expected to be used on the Plymouth-Dartmouth-Jersey-Guernsey-St Malo service (ran 1865-1867 seasons) but she was found to be too large for that trade.
1869 Acquired by J. F. D'Oyly, Walthamstow, Essex and F. J. Ransom
1877 London Steamboat Co took over the boat. She was by far the largest of that company's boats, being 237 tons gross.
c1882 Acquired by The River Thames Steamboat Co Ltd, London
1888 Broken up
