PS Cardinal Wolsey (1889)
1889 This was the largest steamer ever built for up river or “above bridge” service, and the first to be constructed of steel for such work. Constructed by Edwards and Symes, London, she had two oscillating cylinders 20 in. diameter by 21 in. stroke. This boat remained in service on the Thames until 1909.
