Peter and Alexander Campbell of 1 Britannia Buildings, Cumberland Basin, Bristol.
1887 The paddle steamer Waverley, owned by the Campbells on the Clyde, was taken by Peter to the Bristol Channel on a charter, with great success.
1888 the Campbells sold two of their steamers to the new Caledonian Steam Packet Co
They moved their business to Bristol, and set up the White Funnel Fleet for coastal cruising.
1893 The company was registered on 25 March, to acquire a business of pleasure steamboat owners. [1]
1911 Acquired the fleet of Bristol Channel Passenger Boats for £35,000.[2]
