Iron and steel stockholders and shipowners.

1781 James MacCallum established a hardware business in Greenock, which grew to become a major supplier of shipbuilding nails. As construction methods changed, the firm became dealers in iron plate.

1907 P. MacCallum and Sons Limited, of 56 Rue End Street, Greenock, was registered, with capital of £25,000, to acquire and carry on the business of iron, steel, and metal merchants, carried on at Greenock under the firm of P. MacCallum and Sons.[1]

1984 The company adapted the nature of its business and in the process changed its name to Lang and Fulton Limited.[2]
