1920 The Bwlchgwyn Silica Co was formed by three directors of the Oughtibridge Silica Firebrick Co; These were P. B. Bowl, F. H. Brooke and E. H. Saniter.[1]

1951 Silica bricks and cement; Serpex (magnesium silicate) bricks; magnesite cement ; silica, magnesite, chrome-magnesite, chrome bricks and cements; parging cements; ground ganister; etc. Trade Names: Silica; S.P. Silica; Serpex.

By 1959 owned was part of the Steetley organisation (see advert)
